  • Once found, right click on it and choose the “see what’s printing” option.
  • A new page will open.
  • Go to its top right corner and click on the printer menu item.
  • Choose “open as administrator” from the dropdown menu.
  • Now, open the printer menu item again.
  • This time select “cancel all documents”.
  • Now a confirmation window will open.
  • You have to confirm that you wish to delete all the print jobs in the queue.
  • Press yes.

Setting the Printer as Default

Generally, when you make a print request to your Windows system, Windows sent the request to the printer that is connected with it as a default printer. In case if your printer is not set as a default one, the HP printer not printing issue can occur. Here the steps to se your HP printer as default.

  • Go to control panel of your computer system.
  • Select the devices & printers tab.
  • From the list of printer devices, look for your HP printer device.
  • Now, right click on your HP printer name and choose the “set as default printer” option from the provided drop down menu.
  • A confirmation window will open, where you have to hit the yes button to save the changes made.

Updating Printer Driver

One of the most common reasons for HP printer not printing is due to problem with drivers. Updating them or reinstalling the new driver can solve the issue. Here the steps to do so.

  • Visit the official website of the printer manufacturer which is HP in this case.
  • You can enter your printer model number and it will automatically take you to the driver page suitable for your printer model.
  • You can download it from there by clicking on the download button.
  • Once downloaded, open the folder and double click on the .exe file to start the installation process.
